フランスの毛糸屋さん/French yarn brand 2 : Bergère de France

Phildarと並ぶ老舗中の老舗の毛糸屋さんで、Phildar同様既製服も手がけています。
ベルジェール＝ドゥ＝フランスというのが発音的に一番近いかな。直訳したら、フランスの羊飼い娘さん？？？（まあ毛糸屋さんなので、それもありでしょうか）。
ロレーヌ地方（仏北東部）のバー＝ル＝デュックというのんびりした田舎町に本社があります。
個人的にはですが、Phildar と比べるとスタイルがやや古めかしい感じで、なんとなく垢抜けないように思います。テクニック的にPhildarより難しいものが多い感じです（アラン編みとか透かし模様とか）。

大人(男物･女物）、子ども、ベビーを含む総合カタログを年に1回と、カテゴリー別（子ども、ベビー、春夏物、小物など)のカタログを年数回発行しています。

フランス北東部では直営店があるのですが、それ以外では代理店で毛糸とカタログの販売をしています。私の住む町にはこの代理店(ミシン屋さんが毛糸を売っている）があるのですが、家から遠いのでまだ行ったことがなく、そういうわけで通販で買っています。
問題は、発送に時間がかかること。普通料金（5.90ユーロ）だと、注文の確認が取れてから1週間かかります（なので10日は見るべし）。
でも面白いのは、注文票に小包を準備した人のスタンプが押してあって、その名前がジョゼットさんとかヨランドさんとか、おばさんというか、おばあさんに近い年齢の人なのです。なので、地元のおばさんが働いているのんびりした企業なのだなあという印象を持っています。

毛糸はPhildarと同じく、化繊ブレンドのものがほとんど。昨年まで確か Origin's という高級毛糸ブランドを展開していたのですが（1玉10ユーロくらいした）、どうも撤退したようです。

メニューバーの一番左の"Tricothèque"というところから、無料パターンをダウンロードできます（全部フランス語ですけど･･････）。以前ヒットしたパターンを無料提供しているようで、たまに古色蒼然としたものもありますが、これはすばらしいですよね～。カテゴリーはFemme（女物）、Homme（男物）、Enfant（子ども）、Layette（ベビー）で、子どもものはさらにFille（女の子）、Garçon（男の子）に別れています。
それから編み物用品が結構充実しています（値段もお手ごろ）。

Bergère de France is French historical yarn brand, like Phildar. Their head office is in Bar-le-Duc, rural village of Lorraine region.
Bergère de France, literally shepherd girl of France, carries yarns, ready-to-wear, and publishes several knitting booklets in a year (an General booklet for Women, Men, Children and Babies, and some booklets of Women, Babies, Accessories, etc.). Their yarns are mostly synthetic fiber blends. These are their similar points with Phildar.
Their difference with Phildar is that they don't have directly-managed stores everywhere in France except North-eastern region, though they have some distributors, so their main style of sale is mail-order system. The problem is their slow delivery: it takes one week after their confirmation, you expect at least ten days, even in France!
They have an website. Though exclusively in French, they propose freely their old patterns in "Tricothèque" (left of menu bar), for Women (Femme), Men (Homme), Children (Enfant), Baby (Layette), Children category subdiveded in Girls (Fille) and Boys (Garçon).
As to their style, I think it slightly old-fashioned, in any case, less modern than Phildar... Anyway, I knitted their patterns too. I'll upload some pictures later!
